Hi guys! Ask ko lang kung ano ba yung minimum requirement para makatanggap ng dividend? I mean, should I be invested in a particular company for a year bago ako ma-consider na recepient ng dividend or kahit 3 months lang? by lotski2 07/07/2020

You need to research about record date and ex-dividend date (a.k.a. ex-date). Basically, you are eligible for dividends if you buy BEFORE the ex-dividend date. If you buy on the ex-dividend date onwards, you will NOT receive the dividends anymore. You will receive the dividend amount on the payment date that the company has set. Some people may wonder, why not just by one business day before then sell on the ex-dividend date? That is because on the ex-date, the stock price will drop (usually by the amount of the dividend). by manny 08/03/2020
