This refers to the letter Aboitiz Power Corporation (the "Company") received from the Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp. requesting us to confirm the veracity of the information contained in Business World news article dated July 15, 2026 entitled “AboitizPower eyes P8.44-billion Ilocos wind farm”, the relevant portion of which is quoted hereunder:
“ABOITIZ POWER CORP. (AboitizPower) is seeking to develop a P8.44-billion wind farm in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, according to documents filed with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Luzon Cleanergy Generation, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aboitiz Renewables, Inc., has proposed to develop a 132.8-megawatt (MW) wind power project, based on documents submitted as part of the environmental impact assessment process. “The proposed wind power plant will help augment the demand for reliable and affordable power supply. The proposed project will not only supply enough electricity to Filipino households and businesses but will also contribute to national development,” the company said in its filing. The proposed wind farm will span eight municipalities in Ilocos Norte and will deploy 17 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 8 MW. The project’s renewable energy service contract covers 3,321 hectares (ha), of which 656.96 ha will be developed. xxx Aboitiz Renewables is the renewable energy arm of AboitizPower and develops and operates a diversified portfolio of renewable energy projects spanning solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and battery energy storage systems. The company has more than 1,000 MW of renewable energy capacity in the pipeline. For 2026, AboitizPower has earmarked P62 billion in capital expenditures to fund its pipeline of renewable energy and battery energy storage system projects.

Aboitiz Power Corporation (the “Company” or “AboitizPower”) confirms that Luzon Cleanergy Generation, Inc. made submissions to the relevant offices under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (“DENR”) in relation to a proposed wind project in Ilocos Norte. Said project is currently under active development – including undergoing standard environmental impact assessment processes referred to in the above-quoted article – and its parameters, costs and values, and configuration are subject to finalization and appropriate corporate approvals as it progresses.
As stated in page 137 of the Company’s 2025 Information Statement (SEC Form 20-IS), the Company, its subsidiaries, and joint ventures regularly evaluate strategic opportunities in the ordinary course of business. AboitizPower will make such disclosures as may be required of a publicly listed company in the event of any material and concrete developments.
Luzon Cleanergy Generation, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AboitizPower through Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. (“ARI”). ARI serves as the Company’s investment arm for its RE portfolio, which includes geothermal, large hydro, run-of-river hydro, wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects.
