Please be informed that the Board of Directors of Union Bank of the Philippines at its meeting held on March 22, 2024, approved the following matters:
1. Appointment of Senior Vice President Edgar Allan G. Oblena as the Bank’s Financial Controller effective April 1, 2024.
2. Promotion of Ms. Gladys M. Ocampo from Vice President to Senior Vice President/ HR Business Partner and Head of HR Shared Services, effective immediately.
3. Appointment of Atty. Corazon O. Baluyot-Dela Cruz and Atty. Jonaselle F. Tolentino as Assistant Corporate Secretaries, effective March 22, 2024 and April 1, 2024, respectively.

a. Atty. Corazon O. Baluyut-Dela Cruz
Atty. Baluyot-Dela Cruz is part of the Legal Division-Subsidiaries Unit as one of its Legal Counsels. She currently serves as Corporate Secretary of PETNET, Inc., UBP Investments Corporation, First Union Plans, Inc, and First Union Insurance and Financial Agencies, Inc. She joined the bank in 2020 and previously worked as legal counsel under the Legal Division-Litigation Unit. In 2016, she began her career as a Junior Associate at Sicangco and Sicangco Law Offices and in 2019, eventually became a Senior Associate for the same firm.
She earned her AB Economics degree from De La Salle University-Manila and her Juris Doctor Degree from the same University as part of its primus batch.
b. Atty. Jonaselle F. Tolentino
Atty. Tolentino currently serves as a Legal Counsel in the Legal Division -Subsidiaries Unit at UnionBank. Previously, she held the position of legal counsel at the Local Government Unit of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Additionally, she worked as a Junior Associate Lawyer at ADA Law Office. She earned her BS Legal Management degree from San Beda University and pursued her law degree at Arellano University School of Law.
Her areas of expertise include contracts drafting and reviewing from simple to complex government contracts, as well as drafting and review of pleadings. She possesses substantial experience in litigation and dispute settlement gained during her tenure in ADA, Law Office, where she handled criminal and civil cases, including dispute settlement of administrative cases.
