TUGS signs Memorandum of Agreement with Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte
Background/Description of the Disclosure
Harbor Star Shipping Services, Inc. (“TUGS”) recently formalized its commitment to the Bislak River Restoration Project through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (“PGIN”). The groundbreaking ceremony for this significant endeavor took place today.
Aligned with the Department of Public Works and Highways' Dredging Master Plan, the river restoration initiative will span a 1.5 km length of the river mouth and navigational access. Additionally, it will cover a 26 km stretch of the Bislak River Dredging Zone, encompassing five (5) dredging sites.
The PGIN has also issued the requisite Notice of Award, Notice to Proceed, and Permit to Operate, authorizing dredging operations for ten (10) years, from 22 November 2023, to 21 November 2033.
