Clarification of News Report

We write with respect to the article entitled “DITO passes 4th mandatory audit” posted in manilatimes.net. The article reported in part that:

“DITO Telecommunity Corp. on Tuesday said that it had passed a fourth mandatory technical audit ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
. . . .

DITO was said to have built a subscriber base of 8.35 million as of September 3 this year.

The company has said that it had spent over P150 billion for the initial rollout of its infrastructure and other operating expenses as part of its commitment to invest P257 billion over a five-year period to achieve internet speeds of 55 Mbps and cover 84 percent of the country's population.

The telco has allotted P27 billion for capital expenditures this year, down from last year's P50 billion.”
