Background/Description of the Disclosure
The Board of Directors of Victorias Milling Company, Inc. (VMC) has appointed Mr. Arnel J. Amparo as Chief Manufacturing Officer, effective August 1, 2023. Mr. Amparo earned his Bachelor of Science in Sugar Technology degree from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 1980. He finished his Basic Management Program with the Asian Institute of Management in Manila in 2004. In 2022, he attended the Harvard Business School Seminar in Makati entitled “Organizational Purpose as Source of Competitive Advantage". Mr. Amparo’s employment history with VMC dates back in 1980 as a Cadet Engineer, and in July 2003 up to April 2006, he served as the VMC Division Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Control and as Pollution Control Officer. He went to serve other sugar mills from 2006 – 2022.
