Clarification of News Report
This is in reference to the correspondence from the Exchange seeking clarification of the Bilyonaryo.com (Internet Edition) news article dated 08 January 2024 entitled “Buddy Zamora bolsters ICT portfolio with MRC’s P750 million investment in Bitstar Prime.” Please find below the pertinent quoted portions and our reply thereto: “Bilyonaryo.com- “Buddy Zamora bolsters ICT portfolio with MRC’s P750 million investment in Bitstar Prime” posted in Bilyonaryo.com on January 8, 2024, which reported in part that: “MRC Allied Inc., led by bilyonaryo Salvador ‘Buddy’ Zamora, is fortifying its presence in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector with a P750 million investment in Bitstar Prime Holdings Inc. xxx ” This is to clarify that the initial investment of MRC to BITSTAR PRIME will initially only be up to PHP75,000,000.00 by acquiring its 75 Million Common Shares available for subscription. Any additional investment with BITSTAR PRIME as intended by MRC will be separately disclosed as soon as the management proceed with the same. We also confirm that all the other information mentioned in the news article concerning the transaction were consistent with what has been previously disclosed to the exchange last 05 January 2024 which was approved on 08 January 2024.
