Please be informed that Mr. Michael L. Chong was hired as Head of Debt Capital Markets with the rank of Senior Vice President under the Office of the Treasurer and Head of Global Markets, effective August 15, 2023. Mr. Michael Chong has around 16 years of experience in banking and finance. He was formerly the Managing Director, Head of Origin and Client Coverage at China Bank Capital Corporation where he is responsible for deal origination and primary client relationship management, managing fee income targets, client service delivery, and ensuring timely deal execution. Prior to this, he was with HSBC for 7 years as Vice President of Debt Capital Market. He led key landmark transactions arranged by HSBC including various onshore and offshore deals. Mr. Chong graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a BS Management Engineering degree in 2007.
