We refer to your request for clarification/confirmation of the news article entitled “Alliance Global to ramp up casino expansion after Genting exit” posted on business.inquirer.net on June 15, 2023, which reported in part that: “MANILA -Billionaire Andrew Tan-led conglomerate Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI) will revive plans to expand its casino business outside Metro Manila after taking full control of its gaming arm with the exit of Genting Hong Kong. . . . . AGI CEO Kevin Tan signaled that Travellers, operator of Newport World Resorts (formerly Resorts World Manila), is ready to explore new locations outside the Philippine capital. ‘As for expansion outside Metro Manila, we are actively looking at some of the key tourism hubs all over the Philippines as potential expansion sites for our integrated resort business,’ he said during the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting on Thursday. . . . .” Alliance Global Group, Inc. (“AGI”) confirms the above-quoted news article, particularly in terms of exploring new locations to expand its integrated resort business. However, no firm plans have been made regarding the locations or timelines when these expansion plans will be implemented. The statement in the article that these plans were revived after taking full control of its gaming arm with the exit of Genting Hong Kong, is entirely the reporter’s spin that has not been mentioned during the annual stockholders meeting of AGI. We hope that this clarifies the mater.
